This seminar will cover the central arguments on
the use of (micro-social) contracts in regulating
behaviour (notably among young people). It will
consider the rise of contract like behavioural agreements
in the fields of housing, education and youth justice
in the UK.
Adam Crawford is a Professor of Criminology and
Criminal Justice and the Director of the Centre
for Criminal Justice Studies at the University of
Leeds, UK. Professor Crawford's research interests
include Crime Prevention and Community Safety; Criminal
Justice Policy, Victims of Crime; Restorative Justice;
Comparative Criminology and the Sociology of Law.
