Assessment

Assessment varies according to the course in which students are enrolled. All students must attend lectures and sit a formal examination in Shanghai. Postgraduate students must also submit a research essay following the Winter School.

Please note that assessment has changed for 2009.

The details of assessment for each unit of study are as follows:

  • LAWS3068 CHINESE LAWS AND CHINESE LEGAL SYSTEMS (6 credit points)
    1 x take-home examination to be completed in Shanghai (100%)
  • LAWS3014 CHINESE LAWS AND CHINESE LEGAL SYSTEMS (8 credit points)
    1 x take-home examination to be completed in Shanghai (100%)
  • LAWS6001 CHINESE LAWS AND CHINESE LEGAL SYSTEMS (12 credit points)
    1 x take-home examination to be completed in Shanghai (30%)
    1 x 8,000 word research essay (70%) due on Thursday 25 February 2010.

Both the examination and the essay will be marked by academic staff from Sydney Law School.
