Teaching of International Law at the University of Sydney,
Faculty of Law

There is a strong tradition of teaching of international law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Sydney.

International Law in the University of Sydney - Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

We are one of the only law schools in the world which require each Bachelor of Laws student to complete a compulsory unit in International Law (LAWS2005 International Law) which provides an introduction to both Public International law and Private International Law. Therefore every holder of a University of Sydney LLB has been required to demonstrate a grasp of the basic private law concepts of jurisdiction and choice of law, the basic public international law principles relating to sources of international law and the relationship between public international law and domestic law.
