Objectives

  • Develop a deeper undestanding of key areas of international environmental law.
  • Enhance their comprehension of global environmental politics, environmental ethics, public participation and access to justice, in the context of the debate on environmental human rights.

Content

International environmental governance; human rights and the natural and cultural environment; biodiversity conservation and protected areas; climate change, forests, soil and water resources; compliance with and enforcement of multi-lateral environmental agreements; international environmental dispute resolution

  • 1 x 2,000 Word Problem Based Assignment (20%)
